Just had a very lazy day at home watching dvds today, but i felt compelled to tell you all about one film i found particularly moving: BRING IT ON 3: ALL OR NOTHING.
Now this is what i call a masterpiece of the silver screen. Solange Knowles delivers (what i consider to be) an Golden Globe-winning performance as the down-on-her-luck African American girl who rises above and beyond to take her team to the greatest sporting competition, even greater than the Superbowl… the National Cheerleading Finals! It has the right mix of comedy, romance and action and really prompts you to think by the time the credits roll. To top it all off, i now believe that Hayden Panettiere is officially one of the greatest comedic actors of all time after watching this film.
Now, i looked up other reviews on the Internet of this film, and i was shocked to see majority of the reviews having quite the contrary tone to mine. Oh well, i guess those people can’t detect cinematic brilliance quite like i can what can i say, it’s a gift!
I’m off now to continue my movie-watching extravaganza! I suggest you have one too and the movie that should be on the top of your viewing list? YOU GUESSED IT! BRING IT ON 3!!

But don’t worry my faithful fans, I have not given up yet! This industry just isn’t ready for the force that is Jack Hanson, but when it is, watch out! I’ll never give up, i’ll never give in, because my talent is not something to be wasted. It would be like a crime against humanity to deny the world the joy of experiencing my theatrical skills!
I just always keep in the back of my mind what my mother always used to say to me…

As you can see, i have just completed my vocal exercises. Pronunciation and articulation are crucial in this business and these tongue twisters always get the oral muscles moving. A few times a day and your exquisite voice will be as valuable as James Earl Jones’!
I need this because i have my first Los Angeles audition today!.. it’s an amazing role on a hit TV show (i would tell you the name, but i don’t want any legal issues on my hands!) But anyway, the role is….

It is my calling. I mean, i already have experience being this character! I was a clerk at the local store in Aspen! omg i can almost feel the little gold man trophy in my grasp as we speak! The audition is at 4.15 at a little studio downtown. Oh gosh, look at the time I have to go!

well, a fancy word for travels, but still, a wonderful way to introduce this evening’s blog update!
I have just arrived home from an intense day of familiarising myself with the fast-paced world of Los Angeles, and i am finally able to conclude that this city is my haven. The buildings, the atmospheres, the air of celebrity and glamour, the materialism and shallow judgements… it’s all me!
I walked the Walk of Fame, stood in the imprints at Mann’s Chinese Theatre, re-enacted the shopping scene on Rodeo Drive from Pretty Woman (Julia Roberts) and took photographs of my adventures the entire way! you can have a sneak peek over there! ———>
I also ventured into a Hungry Jack’s restaurant where i had to pay a quarter to open the door to the bathroom! This both puzzles and terrifies me (besides coming to the disturbing realization that the act of relieving one’s self has the potential to lead to bankruptcy). I guess that’s the nature of this place; I’ll just have to get used to it!
Overall, i had a wonderful and higly educational day! I also picked up a few flyers and job ads for a few actors required for some low-budget films and theatre productions! My journey to stardom has officially begun. I’ll tell you all about them later, for now it’s time to head to bed. I have a very strenuous day of acting exercises and preparation for auditions ahead.

Well it’s a bright and chirpy Saturday morning here in Beverly Hills, California. The tropical sun is glistening and i’m definately feeling at home! Considering i just moved here from Lake Louise, this kind of weather is something to enjoy!
Oh, but how rude of me to not introduce myself properly. You already know my name is Jackie Hanson, but now for the juicy details! I am recently 23 years old, having spent my final night in Canada celebrating my 23rd birthday with my single parent Betty (i don’t like calling her mother, it creates a certain heirarchy in the home and i feel it degrades my being) and my younger brother Dennis, or as i lovingly call him… booger.
Now let me fill you in on something about home life in Lake Louise. Just like the weather, it was dark, cold and miserable. I’m sure it was all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows for the other two inhabitants of the family home, but i always felt trapped and smothered under a tightly-knit blanket of judgement and dissapointment. You see, my family is the kind that values academia; numbers and chemical equations.
ME? INTERESTED IN MATHS OR SCIENCE?!?!?! no thankyou! I am an actor; a performer of the high theatre!! My criteria are not graphs and grades, mine are the applause of the crowd and the flash of the camera! But this just never seemed to match up to the incredible amount of over-achieving little Dennis accomplished with such ease, little snot-faced science-head. Grrrrrr.
Woah, that was quite an outburst of rage i had there! I should really suppress those emotions and channel them into my next audition! Man i wish i’d thought of that when i was up for the role of “Angry Mob Member #14″ in my school play. Oh well, i’ll remember it for next time… breathing…. breathing…. 1…..2……3…. and they’re suppressed.
But after such a vivid explanation of home life, i think you can now completely understand why i am now living in sunny Los Angeles, where my hopes and dreams will be fulfilled and fame is pretty much a guarantee!! I haven’t yet ventured out into the nightlife of Beverly Hills, let alone any auditions, but when i do, you’re sure to hear about them!

Firstly, hi to all other keen bloggers out there! The name is Jacqueline Hanson, but i decided to change my screen and stage name to Jack. It sounds a lot more mysterious and unusual, like Madonna…. or Cher. Not like i need a change of name to help me stand out from the crowd, I’m a star on the rise no matter what my title!
I’m going to enjoy sharing my journey to stardom with you all. It shall be a turbulent voyage of suspense, adventure and most of all; ENTERTAINMENT. After all, entertainment is my middle name. (*insert cheeky grin and wink here*)
